Year 7-10The Street Science Signature Stage Shows demonstrate, explore and explain meaningful scientific concepts, spanning across multiple units and science curriculum sub strands. Students are constantly encouraged to participate from the audience, or as volunteers.
The hands-on workshops are about learning by doing, questioning concepts, developing inquiry skills and following scientific processes. Each workshop has been designed to complement classroom units throughout the year, each centred around a particular science understanding sub-strand or concept. Teachers are provided with worksheets to continue the learning and further unpack the activities in the classroom.
Street Science will present individually tailored programs to assist primary schools, as they engage with the current phase of the Australian National Curriculum. Programs can be customised to compliment the needs of your individual school, with the ability to present age appropriate material for students in Prep right through to Year 10.
